Prompting in MIDJOURNEY
Keeping up with new technologies is a must for creatives who want to position themselves at the forefront in the industry. It is crucial to keep upgrading your skills, learning new software, especially now in this rapidly changing industry.
Midjourney is an Artificial Intelligence Image Generator that creates images via typed language descriptors called Prompts. I started using Midjourney in Juni 2022, and since then I have been incorporating Ai in my workflow for personal projects and client work. See some examples below.
Keychain
& gift card
In 2023 my freelance career hit it’s 10 year anniversary. To celebrate my clients and work friends I designed a favourite item of mine - a keychain! No beter way then to stay top-of-mind with clients then to be right there when doors are being opened. Attached to a fun and pretty geeky Thank You card - over 50 keychains were send all over the world, from The Netherlands, to the UK, to Germany and the USA.
A NFC tag was integrated onto the back of the card, allowing you to simply tap your phone and instantly access the link to my online portfolio website.
The keychains were produced by the Zap! Creatives, an awesome company in the UK that creates custom promotional products. I have a few keychains left, send me a message if you would like to have one too!
ADOBE
Dimensions
Adobe Dimension is a 3D rendering and design software developed and published by Adobe Systems. It is an easy way to create 3D mock-ups and render out product scenes. It is also great to experiment with and to create graphic elements for branding and websites.
Here are some graphic elements I made as part of a concept proposal for a client website. The idea was the have an animated backdrop on the website landing page.
🛸 👽 t-shirt design
I have always been fascinated with stories about flying saucers, unexplainable phenomenons and alien life.
This T-shirt design is inspired by a graphic that I saw in the documentary The Phenomenon directed by James Fox. In the movie they have beautifully shot interviews with eyewitnesses and never-before-seen archival footage that tell the story of fleets of UFOs that appeared in the skies over nearly every state in the U.S.A., ending in a chase and flyover of Washington D.C in 1952.
The documentary will lead you to an unsettling and unavoidable conclusion: “We are not alone.”
